Stones of The Yarra Valley

Stones of The Yarra Valley is one of those places that you instantly feel a million miles away from that huge pile of work waiting for you in the office. You take a deep breath of fresh country air & the stress just melts off your shoulders and a sense of peace washes over you.

Late yesterday afternoon we popped into their cafe Meletos for some warm olives and a glass of red. While we sat out the back under the draped grape vines, we sipped our vino and watched the sunset. The mountains turned a soft hazy blue and the tips of the vines glowed bright and golden. Vonnie, the owner of Stones was happily pottering away in her veggie patch- sipping on white wine.  It was like a scene from Under the Tuscan Sun and we couldn't help but get excited about our upcoming trip to the Italian countryside.

Last week at Stones we photographed the very beautiful wedding of Haylee & James. Here is a little sneak peak and a link to their album. These two gorgeous people had been best friends for 19 years before they wed. Two of the nicest people you could ever hope to meet, surrounded by the most incredible family & group of friends that constantly warm our hearts with their love and kindness. You might remember Haylee's sister Nikki's incredible Port Phillip Estate wedding we photographed 6 months back. Both girls wore STUNNING gowns designed by the very talented Silvana Tedesco.
